Ex Machina - The Ava Session

No items found.

A Virtual Production adaptation of several scenes from the feature film: Ex Machina (2014), written and directed by Alex Garland.

The film was created as part of a bachelor project at Aalborg University in Copenhagen, with the aim to test how an interactive film controlled by live brain data can alter the movie experience of the viewer.

Live LED background rendering was used for the entire film. It was done by developing a live background rendering system inside the real-time graphics engine Unity, and projecting it onto a videowall of TV monitors.
